Dear Sir, Yours of the 15^t I have just received The Note for [underline: $55 ⁵⁰/100] was on account of the Firm. Your Brother must give a Note for the amount in the name of the Firm & charge the Same to my account as it is credited to me on the Books. For which am^t please to give me credit by them & charge the interest to the Firm from the dates. I have already mentioned the Business to Cap^t Hodgdon, to whom I had [undecipherable: probable reading "given"] the Bond of Judgement from Glendenning for you — I also mentioned the Account of Sales to [undecipherable: probable reading "him"] as the Sales of Brandy is made out & he having all the entries with him, he can [undecipherable: probable reading "restate"] them under the general state, [undecipherable: probable reading "which"] he can [undecipherable: probable reading "copy"] it. — There are [undecipherable: probable reading "more deaths"] in Chester to day, some died with the Bilious Fever — more than ten times the number have died in this Village of all disorders in proportion to the number of Inhabitants within these 15 days past than have in Philad^a. — Several of them with the Bilious Fever — I hear from Wilmington that they have their Hospital open'd last night & [undecipherable] of the Fever admitted: so it seems to be all over this Country: — I see by the Papers that Doc^t Rush is [strikethrough: about renouncing] his Sangrado System, the Cholera Morbus must be produced instead of the lancet — If you hear of any Letters for me at the Post Office or otherwise, I will thanke you to retain them.
