Sir Today I received your favour of the 7^th instant covering your Return of the Stores under your care — I am glad to find the Musket Cases are nearly completed — when the Arms are put into them you will particularly note and mark on them the kinds — say Charleville, or such as they may be — The Carriages must be over hauled and completely fitted for the pieces to be ready for removal at a moments warning. I have been obliged to make like repairs to the Pieces received from you on account of the shrinking of the Hubs. Ladles Sponges and Worms should be prepared for the Pieces, if not already to them, for we now mean to be ready for action. Parade is out of the question.
