The Gentlemen whose Salaries are usually drawn with my own, and who are included in the account herewith enclosed, are very desirous under circumstances to receive their pay for the quarter ending with the last of June.
To refresh your memory on the subject, I send you the Papers which on a former occasion were laid before you. I hope a favourable and prompt decision

By order of the Secretary of War I send by this conveyance to your address the articles inserted in the enclosed Invoice and Bill of lading, and having no other ready conveyance I have taken this liberty to ship to you certain Stores forwarded for Lieut. Hancock at Brompendie. Should he obliged by your sending them to him, or notifying him that you have them in charge subject to his order. Any expences that may arise to either shall be repaid at sight by
