will be of the same opinion on comparing it with the enclosed Schedules of the expences allowed to the other Paymasters who ha been settled with. M^r M^cClary's accounts are large & extensive — he alledges that he was ordered here & his expences on the route should be allowed, & that he was along time while in the City preparing his accounts for settlement previous to his having rendered them. The examination, had they been rendered properly could have been compleated in one month.
