Harrisburgh Aug. 9^th 1790 — Sir The next Morning after I saw Col. Pickering you I returned to Harrisburgh, the [undecipherable] was out[undecipherable] being unable to raise Cash to defray expenses any longer — I feel much pleased with Col. Pickering kind and easy Reception and his word that he will certainly take up and do my business before next December — I mentioned to him, and you, that some Employ would be very agreeable to me as I am entirely out of business; and have a large young Family to support; Please to speak to your good Friend Col.
