Your Recruiting account has undergon examination and you will accordingly receive the amount thereof from John S Dexter Esqr supervisor at Providence being seventy two Dollars on your giving him the necessary receipts —
I have received your letter of the 15 Ulto & I would wish that in future if you enlist any more recruits you would attend particularly to the recruiting instructions & that if you enlist old Soldiers that have been discharged from the service, that the evidence of the fact will appear with the enlistment and a certificate of their being able bodied and of the proper age at the time of their reenlisting
