Sir
I recived your letter of Decemr 18. 1797. and Mr. Jackson paid me the 10$. 10⁄100 Dollars you requested him.
Wishing to be as little troublesome as possible I have waited till the present time and no Opportunity has Offered that I could Send an Order to your Office by any person of my Acquaintance. Being now in want of the Money which I have advanced for Capt Greaton and the term of Relinquishment being out I pray your Honour to take Such measures concerning the premises, as may be most Speedy and agreeable to you — And you will Confer a lasting Obligation on your humble Servant,
