SIR,
IN pursuance of the authority of your letter of the 6th day of April 1798 I have drawn a duplicate sett of bills of exchange on you, No. 262 dated at Cincinnate the 2d. day of August 1798. at ten days sight, in favor of Alexander Macdonald & Co. or order, for the sum of Two Hundred & Eighty four, dollars, on account of the pay of the army for 1798.
