Sir, I have received your letter of the 20^th covering three receipts for Advances made the Families of the Ship Carpenters & also accompanied by Fenno's Papers sundry letters which shall be carefully forwarded. — You will find this accompanied by a report of Whiskey sent to Fort Washington subsequent to the 22^nd June 1795. I have this day transmitted to the Sec'y of War a General Return of Stores at this post for the last Quarter-Year ending the 30^th June and not being able to complete a duplicate by this post have requested the Secretary of War to let you have the use of it. The Quarter Master General embarked on the 21^st for Head Quarters which I presume is now at Fort [undecipherable]. It was the opinion of the Quarter Master General at his departure that it is not necessary that the drafts made by him or Deputies be on stamped Paper.
