Enclosed you have all the receipts for money paid on the orders of the Carpenters to this day. I will continue the payment on the orders of the men you mention as going to Detroit, and will devise means for making settlements thereon. Your drafts have been presented and honored. In a Waggon that leaves this City in a day or two I have put two boxes containing Bottles, Glasses &c. the one for M^r Bates, the other for Col. Wilkins both exactly alike and cost 24 dollars each. All the other articles requested answering to the enclosed Bills went forward 3 days ago in Ritchies Waggon. I conclude Col. Wilkins has given you directions relative to his own & those for General Wilkinson. Bate's amount is charged to you. The 2.
