I was offered, on private account, yesterday about five Hundred weight excellent Gun powder, at Sixty Cents ℔ lb, (and believe a quantity might be had at a Still less price—
This powder was made in the Alegany Mountains, Considerable quantities are also made South of Greens Brier; have thought right to give you this information, (and know if powder is wanted for the U States, that some may be had from those quarters.—
No Letters to me from you have arrived Since yours of 9th June if any have been sent Since that date, I have not Rec'd them—
Maj.r E Langham is Still absent, but is hourly expected, when he arrives you will receive Letters from both of us on the former enquiries—
