I have received your letter dated 15 Instt on the subject of Samuel Eaton & John McBrownston, On reference to the War Office I am informed that no such documents as you mention to have been forwarded can be found they must consequently have miscarried, It would therefore be proper to forward duplicates that a decision may be had thereon, I have just received your's of 18 & note its contents —
