Sir,
I have to Acknowledge the Recpt. of your favour of the 25th of June, the Services you refer to, I have been paid for, the Clame I have the Services were performed commencing the 18th day of August 1794. And ending the 29th of September 1794, I was Mustered And Enrolled with Captain William [undecipherable: Dinderson?] as well as [undecipherable], I was Major Commandant And was Ordered to Mero District for the defence of that Country After My arival at Nashville I was Subject to the Order of General Robertson who Ordered Me to take Command of what was Called the Nickey-Jack And [undecipherable: Tuning?] water Expedition which was Ordered to to be paid by the present Session of Congress —
