Philadelphia 25^th July 1794 Sir, No abstracts of the issues of Provisions at the Posts of Oswego and Niagara have ever been received at my Office. It appears that vast quantities have been deposited there by M^r Ottawa all of which, as head of the Commissariats will be placed to your debit. A circumstance that should command your attention to produce the issues as early as possible. We are entering on the Provision Account exhibited by Major Craig, and hope soon to be able to close the whole. Before your Account can be closed, the above issues must appear. Kirkpatrick Philadelphia 25^th July 1795 Sir, With respect to the Public Horse in your possession, Sum of opinion it will be best to dispose of him if a Sum near his value can be obtained of not, it is probable Some Officer or other careful person would be glad to ride him up and deliver him here, in one or other of these ways or any other which circumstances may determine to be more oeconomical, the Public ought to be freed from his present expensive keeping.
