Philadelphia 26 July 1798 Sir, I have received your favour of the 18^th Instant — You draughts shall be duly honored — I will inform Harris what you say relative to the Trunks — I am sorry you are about to part with M^r Bates, it will be a serious loss to you, now that he is acquainted with your business generally — I will do my endeavours to procure a Clerk for you in this place, but I will not undertake to fill it, though I should on finding one.
