By the enclosed note from the Commander in Chief you will see that I have been Directed by him to draw on you for 10'000 Dollars for the use of the Quarter Master Department. I have only been able to procure undecipherable for 7'000 and am not certain that more will be wanted.- I have advised the Quarter Mater General of my having undecipherable - as you (paper missing) have requested him to give you authority
