Sir—
General Wilkinson has directed that the musical instruments purchased for his band should be paid for by the Publick — I inclose you the bill & have to request that you will arrange it in such a manner as that proper Vouchers may be taken for them — You will please to credit my account for the same as they were originally charged to me —
The bills you mention as being drawn by Mr. Ernest, I have been advised by him of the same — He had been obliged to draw these bills & send in to Fort Washington for money on them, none being to be had at Detroit, which occasioned his drawing for a larger sum than was immediately requisite: —
I beg you would purchase & forward for me directed to this place a case of bottles of the white kind, fifteen in the case, and each containing about half a gallon — having an upper part in which are tumblers, wine glasses, to cost from — twenty to twenty four
Dollars —
Please to subscribe for Fenn's news paper for me, & have it directed to this place —
I am, Sir, with great regard
