⇣Philadelphia 14 July 1798 Sir, The Secretary of the Navy has appointed his Store Keeper tis proper he should take charge of any Marine articles purchased for the Navy, for this purpose I wish you to send me a return of any such articles as you may have on hand to the end that measures may be taken for placing them systematically in the Navy Store.
