Sir,
I have to acknowledge the receipt of your letter dated the 12th ultimo, informing me, that the Treasurer of the United States would remit me the sum of three thousand seven hundred and seventy seven dollars, on account of the pay of the Troops in Georgia, for January and February, 1798. This he accordingly did, and I have acknowledged the receipt thereof to him this day.
