Secy of War Navy Departme. 10 July 1798 Sir, The French Prize at the Fort having got clear of her crew, & the Marshall being about to take possession of her, there will be no Difficulty in preparing her for a cruise, if the Goods on Board can be landed. This too can be done, if they can be stored in any house at the Port. Will you be so good as to give orders to the commanding officer at the Port to furnish Room if he can for the reception of the Goods. In this Case, Mr. Humphreys will take immediate Steps to prepare the Schooner for a cruise, & she may be ready to receive her Men by the Time She is condemned.
