Rations for that period — Upon reference to a former account of the said Contractor it appears that Cadet Thomas Blackburn received 184 Rations for himself & Waiter for July, August & September 1797. whereas he should have received only 92 Rations for himself for that period, Cadets as already mentioned not being allowed a Waiter — You will accordingly direct that these Cadets suspend drawing any rations until the above surpluss is accounted for, or untill they refund the amount overdrawn to the United States — In future you will countersign no Returns for Officers rations beyond the number allowed by law — Sam^l h.
