Navy Department of July 798 Sir You will please keep on & off the cape of Delaware, & always in search of a Patrol boat, ’til further orders. Some later acts of Congress make a [undecipherable] in your instruction necessary. I have the honor to be with great respect for yr obd sevt Ben Stoddert If you fall in with Capt Decatur, [undecipherable] him with you.
