On examination of the account recd from the Treasury Department, of Rations supplied by William [undecipherable] Contractor to the Officers of the Troops stationed at Norfolk under your command & their waiters, it appears that 122 Rations have been furnished to Cadet P. Lambkin for October November & December [undecipherable] whereas he was entitled to receive 92 Rations only, for that period for himself a Cadet not being allowed a waiter, it is probable however that this waiter may be a Soldier & entitled himself to receive rations as such — He has also received 180 Rations for January February & March 1798 for himself, whereas he was entitled to receive only 90
