Description

McHenry would have delivered Washington's letter to Parker had he not learned that Parker had connected himself with a democratic printer. McHenry has purchased the land for the arsenal in the Shenandoah and hopes soon to begin manufacturing small arms at the site. Gerry has been playing the role of the double politician by communicating with Tallyrand but surely his pride will prevent him from doing further mischief. McHenry hopes that Washington will accept command of all the armies since he alone can unite all hearts.
