[Received from State Dep't Nov. 24. 1804, R.P.Q.401210] Pittsburg 22^nd June 1798. Sir, Your letter of the 15^th instant, covering a Draft for twenty dollars advanced to the wife of Basford and accompanied by the news papers &c., is received. Paul Ralston, Waggoner, who on the 16^th deliver[ed] a load of Hospital Stores being in want of Money to enable him to return I advanced him twenty dollars which you will please to stop at Settlement of his carriage and place to my Credit — Ralston's Receipt is enclosed. I have this day found it necessary to draw on you in favor of John Wrenshall at ten days sight for five hundred dollars which be pleased to pay and charge as usual. In addition to the articles formerly requested for the Galley, the best steel plate whip Saws together with three or four dozen files are immediately wanted.
