The Treasurer of the United States will remit you the sum of Three Hundred & fourteen dollars & thirty eight cents which you will be pleased to pay to George Fleming Military Store keeper at West Point, taking the necessary receipts for the same, being for the following purposes, viz: — One hundred sixty two Dollars & &c for his Salary from 1 January to 31 May 98 inclusive & one hundred & fifty One dollars & &c, for pay of the detachment in the service of the Ordnance Department from 1 February to 30 April 98 inclusive, holding him accountable for the latter sum —
