Elizabeth Furnace June 20. 1798. Dear Sir I have to acknowledge the receipt of your favour of the 17.^th Ulto as also that of the 14.^th Instant, requesting me to send on the twelve pound Shot to City— I have endeavoured to procure Teams to hawl them but the farmers are so busy at this Season of the Year that unless they get an extravagant Price they will not hawl them untill after Harvest. The Shot do not lie at this Furnace but at Cornwall Furnace (formerly M^r Grubbs) I have given the Manager at Cornwall directions to use every dilegence to procure Teams & forward them to the City.— If there are any new Contracts making for Shot or Shells I shall thank you to inform me as I have three Furnaces in Blast and would contract to furnish a large quantity.— I am Sir your Friend & Ob^t.
