Sir Richmond 18^th June 1798. I have had the honour of your letter of the 7^th Instant. The Remaining part of our Advances for the General Government you will find in the enclosed documents — one of them was omitted by the Auditor in making up the last Abstract; and the Other is an Allowance lately made by the Executive, in addition to a former abstract for Rations furnished — this was deemed reasonable, as no Contract laid to be made at the time from the extreme Scarcity and high prices of Provisions, at a remote and frontier Post. enclosed you will receive an Order for whatever Sum should be found due to the State, which the Board request the favour of you to Receive and bring with you when you Return to Virginia.
