I am now to acknowledge the receipt of your letter of one of no date and the other 13th a May, and agreeable to your directions have paid Capt. Michael Halthen, the Sum of Five hundred and twenty Dollars and twenty one Cents for the pay of himself and the Detachment under his command for the months of January and February 1798, also have paid him the further Sum of Five hundred and forty one Dollars and Six Cents, being for the pay of himself and the detachment under his Command In the months of March and April 1798 — and herewith transmit his Receipts therefor —
