Sir,
I have this moment received your letter of the 8th instant together with one from Samuel Lewis Sen covering Samuel Meredith's draft in my favor on Gen. Neville for Two thousand eight hundred dollars on account of Pay of the Army. The receipt of which I have acknowledged to Mr. Lewis by post this day, and by next post I shall transmit you the roles and other Vouchers of payment of the Troops at the upper posts up to the 1st of the Month.
