Sir I received your letter of the 15 Ult covering a
roll of a company of Mounted Militia discharged & paid in full by you
7 August 1792 amounting to one thousand eight hundred seventy eight
& thirty Cents which on examination has been found correct, & will be
to the Credit of your account on the Books of this Office.

Sir The Secretary of War in addition to the for[mer]
advances to Lieut. Shipplett issued a warrant this day in his favor for
a further sum of seven hundred Dollars on account of the pay of the [men]
on board the Frigate Constellation — The money will be forwarded [to]
John Fitzgerald Collector of the Port of Alexandria & Mr Shipplett [will]
be held accountable in conformity with the Instructions he may rece[ive]
for disbursing those monies — I give you this information that your
directions may early reach him in the disbursement of the money.
