R.P.O. 401310.] Pittsburg 15^th June 1798 I have received Your letter of the 8^th instant together with the news papers &ca. By order of the Commandant in Chief, some Articles destined for Lake Erie & others intended for the Galley now on the Stocks were shiped on board the bo[at go-]ing the ohio with the General. It is therefore neces[sary that] these articles be replaced as early as possible, Viz, 9 Pieces Canvas N^o 4. 10 Gallons Train Oil. 100lbs white lead, one b[—] 80 fathom of 2½ inch cordage, one bale 3 inch 120 fatho[m] & two bails Spun Yarn — the American Colours for [undecipherable] were also taken for the General's boat. On the 12^th instant I found it necessary to [draw] on you at eight days sight in favor of Robert Mc[undecipherable] for five hundred dollars and this day in favor of George Stevenson for Seven hundred dollars & also in favor of David Wallace for four hundred dollars, both at ten days sight, which drafts be pleased to pay and charge as usual.
