Your letter of the 28^th Ultimo came safely to hand the 7^th Instant its contents are noticed. Before I make a final settlement of the Account between the United States and the State of Maryland I shall wait for further communications from Major Langham who I am informed expects to return in all this month — When Fleming returns forward his Receipt and I will send you the amount of the transportation of the Tents.
