I Have received the Three Hundred and twenty eight Dollars and thirty five cents. from Samuel Lewis Clk. in the war office. for pay of my self and recruits to the 30^th of April 1798. and enclosed him my Receipt accordingly — as soon as payment is made, the Recrit Roll will be forwarded I Here with enclose you my Receit Roll to 31^st December 1797. please pass it to my credit I am Sir with the Greatest respect William Simmons Esq^r. accountant Alex.
