Sir,
As soon as possible after you receive this letter, be pleased to send thirty common and three horsemens Tents with their Irons & Poles complete to Norfolk in Virginia addressed to Captain Richard Scott Blackburn for the use of the men under his Command. Your letter of the 28th Ultimo came safely to hand the 7th instant its contents are noticed. Before I make a final settlement of the Account between the United States and the State of Maryland, I shall wait for further communications from Major Langham who I am informed expects to return in all this month —
When Fleming returns forward his Receipts and I will send you the amount of the transportation of the Tents.
