I have received your letter dated the 1 Insto and conformable thereto, the sum of two thousand eight hundred Dollars will be remitted to you to cover the advances you have made & to enable you to compleat the payments to the Troops up to the 1st of the present month — Mr Lewis in the War Office will remit the amount & you will in the usual course forward the proper Recepts —
