Governors Island June 2^d 1798 Sir I received in the Month of May, one Thousand five hundred sixty seven Dollars and Eighty five Cents — I now transmit Vouchers (including my own subsistence for Feb^y & March) for one thousand five hundred sixty four Dollars & sixty nine Cents & one half, which ammount please to pass to my Credit on the books of your office — Doll^s 1567.85 1564.49½ 3.35½ It appears there is a balance in my hands of Three Dollars and thirty five and one half Cents L^t Wilson, Doctor Osborn and myself have received no subsistence for Jan^y a Statement of subsistence due, was transmitted with the Jan^y Pay Roll, — I have inclosed Muster and Pay Rolls for May, I have made up the Nurse in the Hospital, for eight dollars pay p^r Month, and cannot get the duty done for less, since we have many more sick than formerly — I have made up David Delittle for six Months pay and inclosed a Certificate from Captⁿ Brouff to shew he is entitled to pay since 1^st Decemb^r last — I shall send a statement of subsistence due Doctor Osborn and myself for April & May as soon as certified by the Contractor, I am Sir respectfully Your Obed^t Servant Fred.
