I hope the vessel has sailed on board of which you have laden that received from Elizabeth Town if not do urge her immediate departure, all concerned are very uneasy at the unavoidable detention of the Ship. I have some expectation of being in York myself in the course of next Week in which case I shall pay my respects to you. Sir, The Secretary of War has put into my hands your account and letter relative to the Money paid M^r [undecipherable: Claywell?] at the request of John Steele for Express hire — The part paid by you say Eighty five Dollars and eighty seven Cents, you may draw for as you propose in favor of the Treasurer the ten Dollars advanced by M^r [undecipherable: Steele?] by this way of doing the business will remain open, and I presume he means to bring it forward with his General expenditures at the close of the business in which he is engaged.
