I have received your letter of the 2d ultimo. The drafts received from Captain Bith, I ay Rod [undecipherable] stands to your credit in my Books and the part disbursed as per former advice to your debit —
I will speak to the Storekeeper about the Coin invoices and inform you — had understood they were forwarded through the Secretary of War — your drafts will meet due honor — The Numbers I have received appear to be those wanted — am glad to find the President Adams has safely embraced his Elements, hope soon to hear she has a Consort — Pray give me as Superintendent your say is to cease — but you should also inform me whether she does not continue in the employ as a common hand — If so a certain Drawing may be you necessary, I shall however not hold out — I hear from you again on the subject — The Eapora will note the recent great works, which have taken place here — War seems inevitable —
