Document 1798Hodgon anxiously waits the arrival of guns, shot, and kentledge but kentledge is wanted most of all and is available at Elizabeth Town and New York.
Philadelphia 1st.June 1798. Sir, Besides the Kentledge at Elizabeth Town, that is about about forty eight tons more in New York. I believe in the care of Mr. John Blagg. I wish you to apply to him, and if found with him and not under previous order, Ship it to me as soon as possible..I have received your letter and shall wait impatiently the arrival of the Guns Shot & Kentledge you mention would be shipped the day you wrote. all of them are wanted, but the Kentledge most of all.
