I have to request that you will be pleased to inform me by return of the Post, the period up to which the troops Tennessee have been paid & that you will accompany the information with a return of bills drawn by you on account of the same —
I have also to request, that you will frequently transmit an account Current shewing the receipts & expenditures made by you on account of this Department & the balance of monies remaining in your hands —
I hope you will not fail to comply with my request as I am much in want of the aforesaid information & expect to receive it by return of Post
