I received your letter of the 21 inst. enclosing your account for compensation as Temporary Engineer from 1 October 97 to 31 March 1798 the amount of the first three Months was remitted to the Supervisor the 15 Ult: the amount of the last viz: January, February, & March 1798 being Two hundred & twenty five Dollars you will receive as usual from Daniel Stevens Supervisor at Charleston on giving him the necessary receipts for the same.
