I am now to acknowledge the receipt of your letter of 4th Inst. and agreeably to your instructions have herewith forward you my Duplicate Receipt for Nine Dollars and Seventy Eight Cents, which I am to have been remitted to me from the Treasury, being for amount of my of Commission on monies rec'd and paid by me from the War Department in the quarter ending 31st of March 1798 agreeably to Warrant No 2736 of the Secretary of War.
