I received your letter of the 19th Inst., enclosing a duplicate receipt of John Bancroft for four dollars on account of Bounty, which is filed with others before recd, together with receipt rolls of the recruits &c under your commands for December 1797, January, February & March 1798, — amounting together to four hundreds five dollars & four cents, which amount will be entered to your credit on the Books of this Office.
Your recruiting account will be immediately put under examination, as soon as you forwards a statement of it to this Office, or on your arrival here which I understand will be in a few days —

I received your letter of the 14 Inst. accompanied with a receipt roll for payments made to the detachment under your command for July, Aug: & September 1797 — and Muster & Pay rolls of your detachment for February, March & April 1798 — the former amounting to six hundred seventy six dollars and sixty one cents will be entered to your credit on the Books of this Office — the latter amount to D. 525.31
