By last evenings post the enclosed with the receipts came to hand. I am altogether unable to conjecture from what source the enormous difference should have arisen between the balance due on my account, as stated by myself & as audited at your office. Confident that my own statement is not erroneous, but that the balance therein expressed is honestly due me — I can by no means subscribe the Supervisor's receipts.
