I have received your letter, dated the 13 Inst. with information of the additional Bills drawn by you and not entered in your abstract of Receipts, & expenditures rendered at this Office of which the proper notice will be taken—
I have to request that you will furnish me Monthly with a list of the Bills you draw during that Period on account of the pay "of the Army this will be of considerable use to me in forming my Estimates as well as checking the Bills drawn—

Sir I have recd your letter dated the 21 Inst.— In answer I have to inform you that your Pay, Subsistence & forage, from 1 January last to the date of your dismission from service will be retained in order to cover any improper payments which may have been made to you by the United States, or its Agents, as to any charges you may have for expences, they can only be judged of when they come forward properly stated—
