I have purchased in New york through the agency of John Delafield Esq. of Mr. William Kenyon four hundred & fifty five Boxes of Cannon Gun Powder weighing 68,250lbs — and of Col. Ebenezer Stevens Two Tons of fine musket Gun Powder — The latter quantity is now in the magazine on Governors Island under the care of Captain [undecipherable]
I expect to purchase in a few days an additional quantity of about 34,000lbs of Cannon Powder like that obtained of Mr. Kenyon.
