Stretch The Accountant of the War Department I Certify, that it appears from the Records of this Office, that Isaac Garretson Clerk in the Navy Yard at Baltimore was paid on the 30.^th day of June, 1797, by Samuel & Joseph Sterett Naval Agents at Baltimore, the sum of three hundred and seventy five Dollars, being for his Salary for six Months ending the second day of June proceeding; and also, that a like sum was deducted from a subsequent Account of the said Agents for disbursments made by them from 1^t July to 31^t December 1797 for the Salary of the Clerks of the Yard; as more proper to be Settled at the War Office — Treasury Department Register's Office 17.^th May 1798 for the Register [signed] Jos.
