R.P. 401810] Springfield May 17. 1798. Sir I received your letter of the 8^th of May. I have Sent on all the Shot & Shells, and the five inch Howitzers to Hartford, and this day the Six Six pounders, two three pounders with their Carriages and implements compleat will be sent to Hartford and put on board of a Sloop that is loaded with the Stores sent from this place and will Saill as soon as possible. I shall send you the receipt for the Stores sent on as soon as I receive them from the Master of the vessel I am Sir with respect your obedient Servant John Bryant D. Co. Ml.
