Of the ten 4 pounder iron guns, five are uniform in length & weight, & are excellent ship guns, made by the [undecipherable] company; there are no ship carriages for them. I will send you the dimensions of the five 4 pounders next post. In your favor of the 4^th you mention for me to send four twelves & four twenty four pounders iron guns — the 4 twelves I will send in the first vessel I can get them on board of — there are no carriages that will do to send with them. Only one iron 24 pounder is here, & it is included among the damaged in the return. If excellent iron 13 pounders will answer, I would thank you to inform me whether sea coast or garrison carriages I must send with them.
